Housing services during Covid 19
Whilst some housing services may be affected by the current pandemic, most office-based staff are able to work remotely in order to keep key services running. We will continue to try and provide you with the best possible service during this time.

Supporting documentation
Please note that all supporting documents such as identification and bank statements must be uploaded to your online application.  Applications will be closed if the required supporting documents are not uploaded to your application within 28 days.

A signed declaration form must be uploaded to all applications. This form can be downloaded for you to print and sign, or you can collect the form from one of our customer service link points. Your signed declaration form can then be scanned or photographed and uploaded to your online application.

Please read our application checklist on the documents tab to ensure that you have uploaded all the documents needed for us to assess your application.

Welcome to Cherwell HomeChoice

HomeChoice is a way of allocating housing through choice, giving you a greater say over where you live. The scheme puts the initiative on you to apply for properties that are advertised.

Properties are advertised every week. The advertising period starts on a Wednesday and finishes at midnight on Monday one week later. This may vary occasionally to allow for holiday periods such as Christmas.

Social landlords are now able to conduct viewings and sign-ups as lockdown measured have been eased. Please note that many staff are still required to work remotely and viewings will need to be carried out in a socially distanced way which may cause some slight delays.
