Revised Housing Allocation Scheme
A revised Housing Allocation Scheme will be implemented on 1 December 2021. All current applications will be reviewed in line the revised scheme as part of the annual review of the application. Please be aware that this means the priority applied to the application could also change as part of the review process. Applications will also be reviewed in line with the revised scheme if the applicant has a change of circumstances that prompts a review of the application.
Demand for social housing
There is currently extremely high demand for social housing in Cherwell district. We are working as hard as possible to support all applicants to the housing register but must advise applicants to expect increased waiting times to secure housing and explore all available housing options. We thank all applicants in advance for their understanding and patience.
Housing services during Covid 19
Most office-based staff are working remotely in order to keep key services running. We will continue to try and provide you with the best possible service during this time.
